This ride begins and ends in Athens Ohio with 9 thrilling routes it is a popular destination for bikers. This ride will take you through Hocking Hills State Park and give you the opportunity to take in some local tourist attractions like Conkle’s Hollow and Ash Cave. Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the breathtaking views with over 25 miles of hiking trails.
Ohio’s Dragon Trail
This is 20 miles of smooth turns, elevation changes, winding roads, and beautiful scenery. You will glimpse old farmhouses, wildlife and have the chance to visit Burr Oak State Park and Wayne National Forest along the way. You can get fuel, stop for lunch, and do some shopping in the town of McConnelsville, a popular stop for bikers.
State Route 13
This road stretches North to South from Huron to Athens and is home to a little town called Moxahala! There are several very small towns along this route that offer dining, shopping, fuel, and even some points of history. A simple easy ride for anyone who wants to get off the beaten path.
Ohio Route 26
If covered bridges, quaint towns, twists, and turns are what you are looking for then this ride is for you. Follow alongside the Muskingum River that passes through some small towns like Bethesda, Steel Run, and Woodsfield. You will want to take lots of pictures because the scenery is beautiful, especially in the fall.
